Connectivity Test

To ensure that your Arcamatic settings are configured correctly, we always recommend testing that the client and server can connect by simply installing both on a single machine, choosing base directories for both the client (what to backup) and the server (where to back it up to), and then clicking the server Start button to have it begin listening for the client, and clicking the Start button on the client to begin the backup. This will perform a backup from the specified source directories to the destination directory.

Once this step has been completed successfully, perform the same test with an Arcamatic Client installed on a remote machine manually. After confirming that everything works as expected, you can then configure scheduled backups etc.
