Installing Arcamatic

Start installing Arcamatic by extracting (if applicable) and running the installation file.

If presented with a credentials screen with a User ID and Password, please enter your trial or paid license credentials.

If you do not have a license and wish to obtain one, please click on the Click here for a free trial link in the dialog. If you wish to purchase a license, please visit the Arcamatic Backup product page.

Note that there is no provided install for the Arcamatic Client - just copy the Arcamatic\Client directory (example: C:\Arcamatic\Client if installed in C:\Arcamatic) to your target client machine and run the Arcamatic Client.

To ensure that your environment is configured correctly, we always recommend testing that the client and server can connect by simply installing both on a single machine, choosing base directories for both the client (what to backup) and the server (where to back it up to), and then clicking the server Start button to have it begin listening for the client, and clicking the Start button on the client to begin the backup. This will perform a backup from the specified source directories to the destination directory on the local machine. Once this step has been completed successfully, perform the same test with an Arcamatic Client installed on a remote machine.
